If you have your loved one at home and they are dependent on you to monitor certain health conditions, the right piece of equipment makes things easier.  You have the day-to-day tasks to organize, maintain, and monitor. The easily used automatic blood pressure cuff lets you know if your loved one has a higher or lower than normal pulse rate and blood pressure. These are especially important to monitor on a daily basis to know if there are any medical changes in one’s condition. After an illness, it is important to know if blood pressure is normal. Normal is 120/80 and as you age 140/80 is acceptable dependent on your condition and what your health provider’s goals are.  Asthma, COPD, high blood pressure, diabetes, bronchitis, pulmonary edema, and other diseases can require monitoring daily for physician reports. The blood pressure can go higher with dehydration, urinary tract infection (UTI),pain, anxiety, congestive heart failure, and more. If the person is unable to accurately report what they are feeling in their body, it is important to use measures like pulse, O2, blood pressure and observation to help them speak to you about their body.

This is a commonly used device in our household for my totally dependent mother’s care and in our clinic. To use, you apply it properly to your arm, press the button, wait for it to inflate, deflate, and the reading appears. Large print and back light make this device easy to read, even in dim light.
